The International Association of Lions Clubs began as the dream of Chicago businessman Melvin Jones. He believed that local business Clubs should expand their horizons from purely professional concerns to the betterment of their communities and the world at large

In  1917 was formed the Association of Lions Clubs.  In  1956  the Lions movement  was started  in India.

4 Multiple District in India. 

District 322C3 (consist by Revenue District Bankura, Birbhum, Burdwan and Purulia) a part of the Multiple District 322. 

District 322C3 consist of more than 70 Clubs, they are doing various type of service activity for downtrodden people like Sight Conservation and Work with the Blind, Mother & Child Health Care, Drug Awareness, Diabetes Awareness, Environmental Services, Hearing and Speech Action and Work with Deaf.
